Great news eveyone and one more reason to visit the Algarve right away!
Did you know that the online portal Europe’s Best Destinations has voted Lagoa’s Seven Hanging Valleys Trail, locally known as the Sete Vales Suspensos, as number one in its Best hiking destination in Europe?
This trail is easy to walk and has been has been given five stars for the beauty of its landscapes, as the views and surroundings are absolutely stunning, breathtaking and unforgettable. The trail is recommended for walkers, of any age. It will take 3-5 hours to complete the 5.7 kms trail, depending on your ability, but of course you do not have to do the whole trail in one go. The trail starts at the "Senhora da Rocha" chapel and ends at the beach in Carvoeiro but you can choose to walk only part of it.
The best time to enjoy this walk is spring and autumn (as the summer month can get very hot). You can be sure to see plenty of beautiful flora and fauna and amazing beaches, it is also possible to visit some of the beaches to get to know them and/or have a litlle break. Or maybe you would fancy a visit to the lighthouse in Alfanzina, the Benagil caves or Ferragudo.
